Meet Jessica

Coding is more than a random afterschool activity for Jessica. It’s the key to her future. She’s in her second year in our Coding Program, in partnership with Orange Unified School District, and it’s inspired her to become an engineer when she grows up. Education changes the odds for kids. And Jessica’s story is just one of many.

Jessica loves coding so much that she practices for one hour every day when she gets home from her afterschool program. And Jessica’s mom loves coding because it’s helped her daughter greatly improve her math grades – Jessica’s only received A’s in math since she started coding.

Coding teaches Jessica critical thinking and resiliency, skills she can apply to all of her core subjects.

In the 2017-2018 school year, Think Together launched six coding programs in Orange County. 500 students, Jessica included, learned how to build 3D computer dioramas and debug computer programs. This year we’re expanding into more districts to impact more kids like Jessica.

Think Together is enhancing our STEM programs to provide coding for all our school partners.

Together we’re creating a community where kids are prepared for college and career.
