Over 20 years, THINK Together has built a roadmap to support student success. Curriculum and activities are aligned with what students are learning during the academic school day. Each program is designed using data-driven solutions to help kids reach proficiency and achievement levels necessary to progress through school and prepare for college and career.

Principal’s Exchange

A THINK Together affiliate since 2014, Principal’s Exchange is in the business of change. This group of highly-experienced educational consultants gets into the trenches with school districts to identify solutions for closing the Achievement Gap. Their work is framed with an equity focus and takes the Response to Intervention model that has been successful with Special Education students and builds it into a framework to operate an entire school system. Principal’s Exchange partners with administrators and educators to build a sustainable culture centered on data and success from the boardroom to the classroom.

College and Career Readiness Programs

The end of a student’s public education is just as important as the beginning. THINK Together continues to offer tutoring to high school students while working with them to intentionally prepare for their future. Advisors work with students on college applications, essay writing, and scholarship funding. Volunteers expose them to various industries through panel presentations, field trips, and internships. Our goal is to equip them with the tools they need to succeed as they launch their professional lives and become contributing members of their communities.

Customizable Auxiliary Programs

THINK Together’s programs are as unique as our students. We work with school districts to identify needs and design programs to fit. These include: STEM Academies that focus on robotics, engineering, food science, and earthquakes; teacher release time where THINK Together leaders provide physical education to students while teachers participate in professional development; competitive sports programs where students learn teamwork and build active lifestyles; and one-on-one tutoring and intervention services for students.

Summer Programs

THINK Together and its partners are invested in preventing “summer learning loss” which research shows disproportionately affects lower income youth. THINK Together’s Summer Learning Programs combine academic instruction designed to prevent “summer learning loss” with enrichment activities and field trips that expand students’ horizons. Students participate in group games and physical activities, work in teams to solve STEM-based learning challenges, continue to develop their English and Math skills in fun and creative environments, and explore new places. Summer programs mean better school years.

Afterschool Expanded Learning Programs

THINK Together’s Afterschool Expanded Learning Programs provide meaningful academic and enrichment activities to K-8 students. Afterschool programs keep kids safe, provide them with homework support and dynamic learning time, while helping working families. THINK Together’s curriculum is focused on English Language Arts, Math, STEM, Youth Development, and Arts & Enrichment. Parents have seen improvements in their children’s behavior, school attendance, and school performance when they participate in afterschool programs. Expanded Learning Programs are one way THINK Together is partnering with schools and communities to close the Achievement Gap

Early Learning Programs

THINK Together’s Early Learning Program (ELP) starts at the very beginning. Research shows that students who show up ready for kindergarten are more likely to read at grade-level by 3rd grade. Our programs provide foundational instruction in literacy, vocabulary, and math skills. Kids also participate in physical activities (CATCH for Preschool) and science activities to encourage curiosity and critical thinking. ELP also works closely with families to foster a love of learning and a deeper connection between parent and child, so families are equipped to be their child’s advocate.
