LA Dodgers Community Service Day

Thanks to community partner San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, over 150 Think Together students experienced a day they won’t forget. On June 25, the LA Dodgers Foundation hosted a baseball clinic at LoanMart Field with Dodger alumni Lee Lacy and Derrel Thomas and players from the Dodgers’ Single-A partner Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Kids learned how to catch, throw and hit baseballs, and how to steal bases. The event ended with volunteers reading to students during lunch – providing a unique educational experience. Because of your generous support, over 80 schools participated in Think Summer, our summer learning program, and the Dodger event was one of many field trips offering students engaging learning opportunities.
